Seneca Louis earns sleeper status
College coaches are always lurking for the next big time name to pop out of thin air. Look no further than Seneca Louis. The 6-foot-6 wing out of Richmond displays immense upside and versatility in playing all three spots on the perimeter and with recent programs getting a glimpse at him, his first scholarship offer might not be too far off in the distance.
Born in Lansing, Michigan, but having moved to Richmond at a young age, Seneca Louis looks to have what it takes in becoming a highly talked about and monitored recruit in the coming years. After being seen by Miami, Wake Forest, American, Vanderbilt, and Murray State, Louis remains focused on the task at hand. “I just want exposure, being able to play in front of college coaches and getting the opportunity to show them what I can do because my ultimate goal is to play division-one basketball for free.”
With super long arms and great finishing abilities at the basket, the upside out of the Benedictine College Prep sophomore is off the charts. Chris Herron, his travel coach with the River City Reign bunch, gave insight on what he brings to the hardwood. “He can put it on the floor, is fluid and athletic in transition, and can guard the 1-4.”
While his outside jumper could use further work in being made consistent, Herron has high hopes for his highly potent wing in the 2018 class. “He should be a top-150 when everything is said and done with.”
Versatility, playmaking, and deceptive ball skills are the name of the game with the 6-foot-6 wing and while things remain in the works with Louis’ skillset and recruitment, it might not be too long before programs like ECU, Murray State, Miami, and Vanderbilt decide it is time to dish out a scholarship offer to the high upside wing out of the Richmond area.
