Big men are definitely a premium in the college game. Finding prospects that stand 6-foot-7 and above, can run the floor decently well, and show some form of a low post game, all in one, is asking for a lot. However, Tyshaun Crawford, a 6-foot-10 center from Griffin High School, encapsulates all of that and then some. This past weekend at the Fall Preview, the Peach State native broke out in a major way and might have a chance to become a commodity recruit. 

While he just turned 16 this past August and young for his grade, the junior center has a wealth of upside to him. With a mammoth sized frame and unbelievable hands around the basket, the big man definitely showed signs of potential as a throwback 5-man who plays from 10-feet and in.

The lefty has quality touch on hooks over his right shoulder and can even attempt the turnaround jumpers from eight-feet. His hands are like Velcro and anything that he touches, he then automatically possesses. While physical maturation is vital where Crawford does have to become more accustomed to his frame and gain further coordination and athleticism, the junior center does play hard and does well in running from rim to rim.

Suiting up for the Griffin Grasshoppers on the travel circuit this past summer, while no offers have been received just yet, Crawford did note that he is currently being recruited by Florida International, South Carolina, South Alabama, and Kennesaw State.

With giant feet, unbelievable hands, a father that stands 7-feet tall, and a hard working mentality, the story has just began for Tyshaun Crawford and the Griffin High 5-man used the Fall Preview in announcing his name to the rest of the state in a very effective manner.
