Fall Preview Spotlight: Isaac Okoro
A name to know in the freshman class out of the state of Georgia is one that prides himself on his defense, something that is impressive for his youth. Isaac Okoro, a 6-foot-6 small forward at McEachern High School, already has the body that should develop much further as he matures, along with the killer mindset in scoring through contact at the basket and in defending various spots on the playing floor.
Running with the AOT Running Rebels this past summer, Okoro was an impressive watch last weekend at the Fall Preview. Born in Powder Springs, Georgia, the member of the 2019 class is not one to shy away from contact on either end of the floor and displays a consistent motor each time that he sets foot onto the court.
More of a driver of the basketball and a finisher at the rack, Okoro continues to make strides with his 15-feet and out jump shot. When asked on what he brings to the hardwood, the McEachern wing spoke on two assets that stand out among the rest. “I am really good at attacking the basket and also locking down on defense.”
While his recruitment has yet to begun, the tough and aggressive freshman does have a decent feel for what he is looking for in a future college home. “I want a place that really wants me and takes me in.”
Before things are said and done with, expect to hear much more about the versatile, two-way producer out of the Peach State known none other than Isaac Okoro.
