Fall Preview Spotlight: Ibrahim Dodo
A massive breakout performer this past weekend at the Fall Preview, Ibrahim Dodo announced himself quickly and violently on the floor at Suwanee Sports Academy. A late addition to the event, Dodo made many onlookers search anxiously to find out who exactly number thirty-eight was and after getting a couple viewings of the impressive forward, it seems the sky is the limit for the product out of Creekside High School.
Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, Dodo is a concoction of length, superb leaping skills, budding ball skills, and an elite motor. Albeit undersized at 6-foot-7, the wingspan and energy levels out of the frontcourt star more than makes up for his lacking height. He absolutely loves to get out and run the floor as he is an ideal rim-runner on the break and is capable of finishing with double-pump dunks and acrobatic lay-ins when near others opponents at the basket.
While a motor is always on tap with the lefty forward, don’t discredit the sophomore’s skillset, either. On a few separate occasions, Dodo stepped out and hit the deep ball off the swing pass and looked more than confident in attempting the perimeter jumper whenever he had time and spacing given to him.
Known by many as ‘E’, the 6-foot-7 jumping jack has yet to gain any sort of traction with his recruitment. However, with further time spent in improving his ball skills and consistently displaying his rim protecting skills, finishing abilities, and elite motor on any given possession, expect for the Game Elite star to become a well talked about name throughout the east coast in the coming years.
