One school pursuing Darius Allen the hardest
2016 Rockledge (FL) wing Darius Allen burst onto the scene during the July evaluation period with Team MOAM at #BOTS. The uber-athletic guard raised several coaches’ eyebrows with his play above the rim and ability to attack the basket.
In fact, after his play at #BOTS, Allen reeled in several new scholarship offers. The 6-foot-4 wing claims offers from Virginia Tech, North Florida, Richmond, Houston, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Jacksonville, The Citadel, Akron, Miami (OH), Florida Gulf Coast, Charleston Southern, UT-Chattanooga, Furman, Wofford, Murray State, and UCF.
“AAU season was great for me,” Allen told HoopSeen.com. “I picked up 14 offers from my first tournament and ended up having 25 by the end of the season, so this year was the greatest one I experienced in my life.”
Despite all those offers, one school is sticking out amongst the rest. They visited Allen last week.
“Charleston Southern and North Florida came to see me last week. Charleston Southern is recruiting me the hardest.”
Allen has yet to take any visits. He looks to be taking his time with the recruiting process, and a decision shouldn’t be expected any time soon.
