Kevon Tucker opts for Wofford

Dacula (GA) shooting guard Kevon Tucker has chosen to end his commitment and pledge to Wofford and head coach Mike Young.

Tucker is coming off of a summer that saw him make a big impression and have some big games against big competition

He chose Wofford for a variety of reasons including the school, the program, and the coaching staff.

“They are winners. They have won the conference four out of the last six conference championships,” Tucker told HoopSeen.

However, the coaching staff and the program they’ve built is what Tucker points out as the main reason for his commitment.

“The most important part is that I believe in what Coach Young is doing with the program, and I trust him and the coaching staff to put me in the right position to accomplish my goals,” Tucker said.

Tucker is currently ranked number thirteen on the HoopSeen 2016 Georgia rankings and is one of the top scoring guards in the state.

My Take on Kevon Tucker to Wofford

Kevon Tucker is an important get for the Wofford Terriers. They are getting a high level scorer who knows how to put the ball in the basket in a variety of ways. He showed a lot this summer with big performances against the Georgia Stars at the Norman Parker Classic as well as in the Under Armour Association Finals. He will have an ability to come in on day one and contribute from a scoring standpoint and also in other aspects with his size and athleticism from the guard position.
