After narrowing his list down to four a few weeks ago, Collins Hill (GA) forward AJ Cheeseman has chosen to commit to the University of New Orleans. 

“It has a family atmosphere. I felt as if I were at home with the boys & girls teams. Also, I love what they’re doing, trying to put pride into the city of New Orleans through their basketball program,” Cheeseman told HoopSeen. 

Cheeseman also feel like he can contribute to the program early on and leave an impact on the team as an underclassman. 

“I feel like I can contribute early on by being a leader, even as a freshman. Our goal is to make it to the tourney. Coach Sless and my teammates that are there all have that goal,” Cheeseman said. 

Cheeseman is currently ranked 35th in the HoopSeen 2016 Georgia rankings, and is one of the better post players in the state. He chose New Orleans over Western Carolina, Abilene Christian, & Coastal Carolina.
