Beverly says yes to Miami (OH)
2016 Hargrave Military Academy (VA) point guard Braxton Beverly only needed one official visit to see where he needed to be. After a weekend visit to Miami (OH), the senior ended his recruitment on Tuesday.
“It’s just the place for me to go get better, have fun, win games and continue to follow out my aspirations,” Beverly told HoopSeen.com on his decision.
“My visit was great. There wasn’t much of a recruiting pitch. I’ve been there a few times and know what they have to offer, so we did more of just getting to know each other more personally.”
The Miami (OH) staff followed Beverly closely during July, including during the first evaluation period at #BOTS. Their hard work and prioritizing the 6-foot point guard paid off.
Beverly brings a more than capable ball-handler to Miami, along with the ability to get his own shot when needed. His toughness and competitiveness will fit right in with the MAC.
Beverly chose the Redhawks over offers from Lehigh, Western Kentucky, and a variety of other schools.
Look for the Miami (OH) staff to hone in on 2016 Georgia big man Martins Igbanu to complement Beverly in the 2016 class.
