Griffin taking his time with the recruiting process

One of the under-the-radar guards that emerged this summer was 2016 Raleigh (NC) Knightdale combo guard Dondre Griffin. The talented guard picked up several scholarship offers playing with Team Felton. However, he is taking the recruiting process slowly.

“I have offers from Houston, Houston Baptist, Western Kentucky, Old Dominion, San Jose State, Coastal Carolina, North Carolina-Central, James Madison, Appalachian State, Winthrop, UMES, UT-Chattanooga, East Tennessee State, UNC-Greensboro, Hofstra, and High Point,” Griffin informed HoopSeen.com.

Florida, Wake Forest, Butler, Wofford, Robert Morris, Wright State, Wichita State, Charlotte, and Butler are also showing interest in the versatile 6-foot-3 guard. With different levels of interest coming in, Griffin is soaking in his recruitment.

“I’m not sure as far as a decision yet,” he explained. “It depends on how my visits go and what schools say the next couple of weeks.”

Griffin has taken a small step forward, though. He recently scheduled an official visit to James Madison.

“I just set up an official visit to James Madison. It will be Labor Day weekend, September 4-6. I’ll probably take a lot of unofficial visits, too.”

“I’m still wide open with the recruiting process.”
