Evans joins HoopSeen.com team

HoopSeen announced that Corey Evans has been named as managing editor of HoopSeen.com on Monday, August 17. Evans will serve as the daily overseer of operations at HoopSeen.com

Evans will manage the day-to-day operations of HoopSeen.com and the content that lives on the pages of the basketball recruiting and event coverage website. He will author a weekly column, serve as co-host with Justin Young, the editor-in-chief of HoopSeen.com, on a weekly podcast and break news as it happens.

Evans comes to HoopSeen.com as serving as an East Coast Contributing Editor at NY2LA. He is also the operator Roundball Rundown Report, a college recruiting service that is taken by a number of basketball programs from coast-to-coast. 

“We looked all over the country for someone that will take our basketball recruiting coverage to the next level and feel like Corey brings a level of detail that is unmatched in the industry,” Young said. “He is a thought leader in this business and someone that opinion makers lean on for accurate information. We are excited to have his expertise and work ethic showcased on HoopSeen.com.” 

With nearly 30 events covered over the last 12 months, Evans is a constant voice in the grassroots basketball space. He will continue to cover national, regional and HoopSeen.com events moving forward.

HoopSeen.com is the online leader for prep basketball event coverage and recruiting news. The company operates National, Regional and Local events (tournaments and camps). HoopSeen was founded in 2010 out of Suwanee Sports Academy in Atlanta, GA.

Justin Young has been the editor-in-chief of HoopSeen.com since 2013. He manages the day-to-day operations on the site and in conjunction with our national and regional events. He was the national basketball editor for Rivals.com and a contributing editor at Yahoo! Sports. Young has been earned numerous awards for his work in sports journalism, including the Georgia Press Association Columnist of the Year. His Justin Young Basketball recruiting service has been in existence since 2002 and worked with over 300 schools from all levels. He is the director of HoopSeen Elite Preview camps and our national Preview camp series.
