One of the more versatile wings on the west coast has three visits upcoming and it seems that a few programs west of the Rocky Mountains have made the California native a priority recruit over the past few months. Christian Terrell, a 6-foot-4 senior at Sacramento High School, might never boast a stat line that jumps off the page, but it is his variety of contributing skills that have enabled for many of the programs throughout his area in getting involved with him.

Terrell is a solid playmaker with the basketball as he can facilitate for others in the half-court setting as a secondary ballhandler, can slice and score his way to the basket and through traffic, and has a solid jumper with his feet set. Running with the Oakland Soldiers bunch this past summer on the Nike circuit, the senior wing has three official visits looming:

August 28: Long Beach State

September 4: UC-Santa Barbara

October 9: Grand Canyon

The plan at the moment is to commit this fall and sign in November; however, Terrell’s father gave insight on where things stand with the senior’s recruitment. “Long Beach, UCSB, and Grand Canyon are the definite visits and we are still researching Nevada and Fresno State. We are also still waiting to see where Gonzaga and Utah stand with things.”

With Terrell’s first official this weekend, the versatile wing’s father gave insight on what the family is looking for when it comes to selecting an appropriate home for next fall. “A school where he can come in right away and contribute, a team where they will compete for their league championship and make the NCAA Tournament.

He went further in stating, “He wants to play for a coach that’s going to challenge him and really bring the best out of him. Most importantly, he hopes whatever he decides to major in, that the department is high quality.”

When it does come to decide on the right fit, one should expect a versatile, four-year guy in the backcourt who is willing to do whatever it might take in order to secure the W for his squad.
