TNBC brings home 14U #BOTS championship

By Kory Keys

Top Notch Basketball Club 14U has been a mainstay at HoopSeen events all travel season so their performance at the Best of the South was hardly surprising. They faced a tough test, however, in Brookwood Elite before TNBC eventually prevailed 45-37.

TNBC's Ryan Greer brought home the division MVP award after a 15 point performance in the championship game, but to him this weekend was just business as usual.

"Just keep playing our same game," Greer said. "It's working. We've been to six championships and won most of them so we just keep playing our game."

It wasn't just Greer, though. Coleman Boyd connected on a huge triple late in the game and Brandon Oliver took a charge in a crucial situation to secure victory. Malachi Martin chipped in nine points, as well. Greer wasn't surprised.

"Get the ball to Coleman (Boyd) and I know he can knock down shots and (we) can step it up on defense," Greer said.

Canada's Brookwood Elite was led by Keeshawn Barthelemy with eight points and also the play of Josh Mein and Tyrese Samuel throughout the tournament.
