Southern Stampede Wins 17U Silver Bracket
One of the more popular teams with college coaches this weekend was Southern Stampede. Despite a slow start to the tournament, they turned it on late to win the 17U Silver Bracket Championship with a 65-57 win over SMAA Elite.
Collin Sexton moved up from the Southern Stampede 16U team to make a huge impact with the 17's. He was in attack mode all weekend, looking to score the ball any way that he could. He has a very impressive ending to his tournament with 22 points in the Silver Bracket Championship.
Other standouts for Southern Stampede were Jay Estime, who shot the ball terrifically from deep, Martins Igbanu, whose size and strength had a lot of coaches buzzing on the sideline, and Zac Cooks, who shot the ball well and was really tough at the guard position.
