Adams thinking visits
It was a productive AAU season for 2016 Carver-Montgomery (AL) shooting guard Darian Adams. Playing with the Alabama Challenge, the 6-foot-2 guard was able to reel in his first scholarship offer and some more.
Adams now holds offers from Alabama State, Troy, Charleston Southern, and SIU-Edwardsville. A host of other schools are showing interest.
“Jacksonville, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee State, Alcorn State, Sam Houston State, and Mercer are showing interest,” he told HoopSeen.com.
The rising senior is looking to move swiftly with his recruitment. He plans to take some visits in the coming weeks.
“I will be at Alcorn State for an unofficial visit this weekend,” Adams said. “I also plan to take official visits to Charleston Southern, Troy, and SIU-Edwardsville.”
During June, Adams made short trips to Troy and Mercer for visits. Both were beneficial for him.
“Troy was nice. I got to see how the weight program was and how they run practice. I really liked everything I saw. I like the coaches and their style of play.”
“Mercer was a great visit too. We had a good time. Their practice was really intense. I enjoyed it.”
As school approaches, Adams hopes to have his recruitment wrapped up soon.
