Under Armour's 'The Finals' field set

After three competitive regional sessions, the field is officially set for Under Armour’s ‘The Finals’ that will take place at Suwanee Sports Academy in July. After this weekend’s play in New York, only 16 teams remain in contention to emerge as Under Armour’s top grassroots squad.

Leading the way at the top is three 9-3 teams: Canada Elite, We R1, and Team Charlotte.

Canada Elite used a 4-0 weekend in New York to help claim the top spot with the addition of Thon Maker. They took down last year’s The Finals champions, Team Charlotte, to win the first place tie-breaker and grab the top spot in the Humble Division. We R1 clinched the top seed outright in the Hungry Division with two wins in New York behind some strong performances from guard Trevon Duval.

Team Thad, DC Premier, Team Breakdown, Atlanta Xpress, Sports U, and the Houston Defenders also earned bids in the Humble Division.

The Hungry Division field also consists of MWA Elite, New Heights, Philly Pride, Illinois Wolves, DC Blue Devils, SYF Players, and 1 Nation.

Some of the top players that will be playing include LaGerald Vick, Markelle Fultz, Dewan Huell, Chris Lewis, Naz Reid, JJ Caldwell, Billy Preston, Terrance Ferguson, and Josh Jackson.

The Finals will take place at Suwanee Sports Academy July 15-18.
