Georgia Phoenix set 15U Georgia Cup pace

The Georgia Phoenix, like their 16U counterparts, have enjoyed a terrific 2015 Georgia Cup circuit.

The Phoenix ran up a 15-4 record (combining their 16U and 15U efforts) on the season with a pair of titles.

And much like their older counterparts, the 15U Phoenix team relied on balance to take care of business. There were a number of players that helped the Phoenix find success on the circuit. Dylan Hardeman was a multi-event all-tournament selection. Noah Frith shot the rock with great confidence and was one of the more productive wings on the circuit.

Point guard KJ Jenkins was the catalyst for the Phoenix as the team won the 16 and under division of the fourth Georgia Cup stop.

North Georgia Elite was one of the best teams on the entire Georgia Cup circuit this season. Loaded with size, balance and scorers, the Hall County based squad took care of business. Big men KJ Buffen and Bailey Minor made up the best frontline of the age group and played well off of each other.

Ryan Greer of TNBC 1918 was one of the best guards in the 15 and under division. The Lovett School point guard has good size, good feel and nice moxie that lead TNBC to a number of wins.

Some of the top teams in the 15U division included: Active Elite Black (9-5), North Georgia Elite Long (7-2), Georgia Stars Murray (7-3), TNBC Select 1918 (7-3), Reach Higher Kings (7-4) and MTXE (5-0).

2015 15U Georgia Cup champions:

March 20-22: North GA Elite Long
March 27-29: GA Stars Murray
April 17-19: Georgia Phoenix
May 15-17: EOTO (orange) / Team MTXE (black)
