Overview

Georgia hoop heads have been looking forward to this matchup on this stage all year long. Both teams bring in monster lineups to a game that could feature up to 11 potential Division I prospects. Saint Francis comes in led by trio Kobi Simmons, Malik Beasley (FSU signee), and Kaiser Gates (Xavier signee). This trio helped Saint Francis lift the state title trophy last year at the Centreplex in Macon. However, a repeat will not come easy as Greenforest boasts one of the biggest teams in the southeast and the country. This one will be a heavyweight fight and could be the most entertaining game all week in Macon.

Must-See Matchup

The must see matchup in this one is the backcourts. Despite Greenforest’s size drawing much of their attention, their guard play has been great all year long. Senior Justin Ravenel and junior John Ogwuche will have their hands full with the guards of Saint Francis. Kobi Simmons has had a huge year that has allowed him to climb the national rankings, rising up to as high as the top five on some lists. They will also have to deal with Florida State signee Malik Beasley, who has been one of Georgia’s top scorers and is one of the best players in 2015 nationally.

Carter Wilson’s Prediction

Saint Francis over Greenforest 76-66
