Harris lifts Seminole Co. to AA title

Big players play the best where the stage is the biggest.

The AA State Championship game had a pair of big time players that shined bright on the big stage in Macon.

Crawford County junior guard Will Jarrell showed that he is truly one of the better guards this state has to offer with 31 points and non-stop energy.

However, his great effort was outdone by another performance that will go down as one of the best championship performances in recent memory.

With his future college coach Mark Fox in attendance, Seminole County junior guard and UGA commit Jordan Harris was a force that could not be stopped.

After getting off to a slow start, Harris turned to his offensive rebounding to light a spark and never looked back.

Scoring in every way possible, the big lefty guard went for 41 points, including 27 in the second half, putting on a complete offensive clinic along the way as well as a pretty impressive highlight reel of dunks.

Behind those 41 points as well as 17 from Harris’ backcourt mate Anfernee King, Seminole County was able to outlast a late surge from Crawford County and hang on to win 76-71 to win the AA State Championship in the school’s first year in the classification.
