Three Things I Learned From Day 1 of Region 6-A Tournament

Saint Francis is the team to beat in A-Private

This may not be a shocker as the Knights are the defending State Champions, but the way they win games impressive. They do not play down to opponents or let opponents stay in games. They come out for the kill and have obtained it early in each of their region games.

Mount Pisgah’s Youth

Mount Pisgah has a couple of underclassmen that contribute quality minutes and put up some numbers. The leader of these players is Brandon Younger, who is a freshman guard that Georgia hoop heads should keep tabs on.

North Cobb Christian’s Shooting Ability

North Cobb Christian has the potential to beat anyone when they shoot the ball well. They surround big man Trey Kalina with shooters and a couple good ball handlers in Nick Fleming and Jalen Dampier. One of those big time shooters is 6-foot-9 sophomore forward Will Crumly, who was the Region 6A-A Player of the Year.
