Lyons stock on the rise
Things are going very smoothly down on the Southside in Peachtree City.
There are not many teams playing better basketball than McIntosh, who is out to a 14-0 start to their season.
Also, there are not many players playing better basketball than McIntosh 2016 combo guard Jordan Lyons.
Lyons has been on a scoring mission all season, proving that he is not only one of the state’s best shooters, but that he is one the state’s elite scorers.
Lyons has gone for 20+ points more often than not this year, including a run to the MVP of the Lake City Classic, where he averaged a smooth 25 points per game.
“I definitely believe I am up there with the elite guards in the class. I know I can play at a high level with all of them. I believe that I am one of the elite guards with the talent God has blessed me with,” said Lyons about his game.
That talent has him putting the ball in the basket at will this year, and doing it in a variety of ways. Lyons has always been noted as one of the best shooters we have in Georgia, but he has been scoring at all levels in his junior campaign, including seeking out contact and being very physical off the bounce.
He has been a vital part to McIntosh’s undefeated start and their climb to the top 10 of the HoopSeen Power Poll.
“We are currently ranked #2 (in AAAAA) in the state right behind Miller Grove, and we work hard everyday to win the title,” said Lyons.
That hard work is showing right now for both Lyons and for the Chiefs as a team.
He currently holds offers from Middle Tennessee State, Troy, Old Dominion, Liberty and Tennessee Tech.
