Decision coming soon for 2015 PG Hardnett
There is light at the end of the tunnel for 2015 Gulfport (MS) point guard Jahshire Hardnett. He hopes to have his college decision finalized soon.
The 5-foot-11 playmaker recently cut his school list down to three: Georgetown, Kansas State, and Murray State.
"I plan to have a decision before the end of the month," Hardnett told HoopSeen.com.
Hardnett broke down what he likes about each of the remaining teams recruiting him:
Georgetown: "I've grown close to the coaching staff, and I feel like they would put me in a great position to reach my dreams, which is playing in the NBA. I like the Princeton offense and I think they are in need of a point guard.
Kansas State: "I like their style of play. They play at a fast pace and that's what my game is. I've grown close to the coaching staff the past couple of weeks, and I feel like they're missing a point guard. It would be a good place for me.
Murray State: "The fan base there is incredible. They play through their point guards. Their former point guard, Isaiah Canaan, is from my area, so seeing what all he achieved and what the school did for him is a good thing.
Hardnett transferred back home to Gulfport (MS) from Arlington Country Day (FL) last week. He is not eligible to play high school basketball in Mississippi now, but that isn't stopping him from continuing to get better.
"I'm just working out in the gym and getting ready for college."
Prior to suiting up at Arlington Country Day, Hardnett was an unknown around the country. Now, after stepping up to the challenge, he is one of the best available point guards remaining on the board.
