One school sticking out to Varnardo

Jordan Varnardo, a 2015 forward from Haywood County (TN), had a tremendous spring on the AAU circuit that allowed his recruitment to take off. Several high-major schools piqued some interest, but his recruitment is going steady right now. Three schools are mainly in the mix for him.

"I have offers from Troy, Tennessee Tech, and Tennessee State," Varnardo told HoopSeen.com. "Those are the main schools involved right now."

Troy had an assistant in attendance to watch Varnardo at the Lighthouse Classic. The Trojans have done a great job recruiting him so far. In fact, they have put themselves in a good position going forward.

"Troy is sticking out a lot. They're like a family there."

The 6-foot-6 forward has taken official visits to Troy and Tennessee Tech. He still has some time to sort out his decision, though.

"I plan on making my decision at the end of the season right now."
