Offers rolling in for Hicks
It's been a couple of busy weeks for 2016 Quitman (MS) forward Darius Hicks. Between new offers and visits, his recruitment has started to heat up.
The 6-foot-8 jumping jack has added offers from four new schools as of late, including the two big in-state schools: Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Troy, and UT-Martin.
He also lists offers from Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Southern Miss, and Middle Tennessee.
The new offers from Ole Miss and Mississippi State give him a possible opportunity that many players from his state would love.
"I would have a big fan base [if I decided to go to Ole Miss or Mississippi State] because I'm from the state," he told HoopSeen.com about the opportunity to play for both programs.
Hicks also broke down what he likes about both schools:
Mississippi State: "I like the way they let their players play multiple positions."
Ole Miss: "I don't know much about them yet, but I really likes the coaches."
Hicks will visit Ole Miss this weekend to get to know the program and campus better. He was at Mississippi State last weekend, as he witnessed the football team take down Auburn.
Expect the long list of offers to continue to roll in for Hicks as the high school season starts to get going for Quitman High.
