Clarke is on the clock
The past few weeks have been hectic for 2015 Virginia Beach (Va.) Cape Henry Collegiate wing Chris Clarke. With visits to Creighton, UConn and Virginia Tech out of the way during the month of September, Tennessee had their chance to impress the shooting guard this past weekend.
"It was great," Clarke said of his visit to Knoxville. "I had a great time."
Clarke's visit consisted of touring campus, viewing the basketball facilities, and watching the football game, along with other things on the agenda. All in all, the 6-foot-5 Clarke understands what Tennessee head coach Donnie Tyndall envisions for him if he does choose to be a Volunteer.
"[Coach Tyndall] has plans for me to be a big piece for Tennessee and make some changes in the program," he told HoopSeen.com. "I like the atmosphere, coaching staff, and players at Tennessee."
While a decision date is not set for Clarke, a commitment could be coming soon. Having now visited all of the schools he is considering (Creighton, Tennessee, UConn, and Virginia Tech), coaching staffs have to be thinking that the clock is ticking.
Clarke was a big part of Boo Williams' success on the EYBL circuit during AAU season. He averaged 12.5 points over the summer.
