Hudson says yes to Clemson
Ty Hudson, Georgia's top point guard in the class of 2017, made a quick trip to Clemson over the weekend for his first official visit of the fall. Sometimes the first impression is the best impression.
Hudson didn't waste any time in making a commitment to the ACC school late Saturday night.
Georgia's No. 4 overall player and top point guard gives Clemson a major defensive presence, an on-the-ball game-changer and point producer. He fits the mold of ACC guard and should provide production right away for head coach Brad Brownell.
Richie Riley was Hudson's lead recruiter at UAB and when Earl Grant got the job at College of Charleston, Riley was hired at Clemson and took over the lead with the Atlanta area point guard. Clemson was already in good shape with Hudson but with Riley on board, the Tigers became a strong favorite to lock down Hudson.
