After a busy summer travel season, hours of review and countless conversations, HoopSeen.com is proud to release our updated class of 2016 rankings. We have extended the list from 20 to 30 players and gave the list great thought and consideration.

CLASS OF 2016 GEORGIA RANKINGS

SOME THINGS REMAIN THE SAME

We've seen the top three players maintain their position in the class of 2016 rankings. That much remains the same.

Kobi Simmons (St. Francis/Atlanta Celtics), Alterique Gilbert (Miller Grove/CP3) and D'Marcus Simonds (Buford/Atlanta Celtics) go 1, 2 and 3 in our updated rankings. That was the case as we dove into the July recruiting calendar.

HIGH RISERS

Peachtree Ridge big man Romello White was our biggest jumper from our existing players. The big man climbed nine spots in the list, settling in at No. 6 overall. He's an intriguing big man and our top post player in the state's junior class for now.

A space above is Milton's Chris Lewis. The muscle-bound rim protector was one of the toughest players to defend all summer long in the class of 2016 amongst Southern big men.

Seminole County guard Jordan Harris has climbed five spots to No. 7 overall.

NEW TO THE LIST

We extended the rankings to 30, adding 10 more spaces to the list. The depth in the class is impressive for the class of 2016. There are a number of players that made a significant debut in the 2016 rankings.

Perry big man Chris Cerkley makes the most impressive debut, checking in at No. 9 overall. The 6-foot-9 post was one of the most consistent big men from Georgia's 2016 class.

The Walker School's Robert Baker may be the most intriguing player on the entire list. The long-armed and skinny 6-foot-8 wing debuts at No. 11 overall but could climb even higher.

Covenant Christian post Martins Igbanu had college coaches asking questions after his strong play this summer at team camps and events like the Best of the South.

No one held up more MVP trophies than Shiloh's Josh Okogie did at Suwanee Sports Academy this year. The young wing shined for the 15 and under Southern Stampede. Okogie checks in at No. 13.

Stratford Academy guard Quintez Cephus has proven himself to be a winner. The 6-foot-2 scorer from Macon is our No. 14 player on the list.

ONE FINAL NOTE

Understand this: the rankings are fluid. They aren't final either.  We'll be watching throughout the high school season and will adjust accordingly. The rankings are a subjective list compiled by our staff and reviewed and debated at length.
