Spiders run off with the 14U #Gibbons championship
SUWANEE, GA – A spider bite can be venomous depending on the type.
The CB Spiders will not physically bite opponents but the results have been venomous for opponents who have played against them.
This Charlotte-based organization had opponents looking for ways to solve how to beat them. None were capable of doing as the Spiders’ ran the table to win Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions 12U title at Suwanee Sports Academy on Sunday. CB beat Tennessee United 83-46.
DJ Little earned the tournament MVP honors by scoring a game-high 25 points. He was quick with the basketball in his hand and found ways to finish at will. Little made some big plays that sent Tennessee reeling.
Little’s teammate Rechon Black chipped in with 15 points. Quwan McCluney added 12 points. Playing against the Spiders was difficult because of the teams scoring depth. They had too many weapons.
Ardaryl Clay was the lone player to get into any rhythm. He finished with a team-high 18 points.
