Giddens trims list to six

Wheeler junior center Daniel Giddens can block shots and protect the rim with the best of them. The muscular big man has attracted the likes of some of the nation's best college basketball programs. On Thursday night, Giddens decided to trim his list down to six schools that he will consider en route to a decision.

Giddens shared his six finalists on Thursday night via Twitter.

Giddens is having a good junior season for the Wildcats, the top team in Georgia's AAAAAA classification. The 6-foot-10 center is one of the premiere rim protectors in the class of 2015 and sets the tone with his active play around the basket.

The last big man from Georgia that had a national recruitment was former Miller Grove star Tony Parker, who is now at UCLA. Giddens reminds me a lot of Florida four-year star Patric Young at the same stage of their basketball development.
