Must-see match-ups on Thurs., Fri.

Super Tuesday did not disappoint and the schedule for Thursday and Friday is equally impressive. Here are our must-see match-ups around the state of Georgia. If you go a game, be sure to use the #MarchToMacon hashtag on Twitter. Share your scores, insights, pictures, videos, Vines, etc.

Thursday, Jan. 15
Milton at No. 2 Wheeler: After sneaking away with a victory against Walton on Tuesday, Wheeler is back at on tonight for a make-up game against another tough region foe. Milton is talented enough to make this game reminiscent of the Walton game - down to the final shot. There are some great match-ups in this one. Keep an eye on Jaylen Brown vs. Mo Lewis. The state's top player faces off against one of the best defenders in the Peach. Should be a fun one.

Friday, Jan. 14
No. 11 Miller Grove at No. 5 Tucker: There just some games you have to find a reason to get to. This is one of them. The DeKalb County powers have been eye-balling this game since the summer. Like the rest of the top games on the must-see list, the home team has a slight edge going into the contest. Can the Tigers overcome a couple of close match-ups and can Miller Grove run the table like they always seem to do in region play? Expect a big crowd from two of the best fan bases in Atlanta.

Riverdale at Jonesboro: Clayton County hoopheads know what this game is all about. Both programs have long histories for basketball. Riverdale boasts Quincy January, one of the state's top senior sleepers, while Jonesboro is finding the way as the season matures. Freshman MJ Walker (add video link) is one of the headliners but DeAntre Mack and Tracey Hector have come on strong this year.

Dacula at Grayson: Both teams are having great seasons to this point and both are fighting for position in the top-heavy Region 8-AAAAAA. This is a nice battle of nice guards and like most of the top games in the state this week, this match-up should be a back-and-forth to-the-wire type of game.

No. 4 Westlake at Newnan: Recently crowned the top team in Class AAAAA by Score Atlanta, the Lions go on the road and play a good, and perhaps underrated, Newnan club. NHS is coming off a good win over Douglas County, a Power Poll team. Westlake could create some separation with a win on the road.

No. 14 Clarke Central at Heritage: The undefeated train keeps on rolling for Clarke Central and a road test against a 14-win team awaits them. Both teams have deep benches, quick guards and guys that aren't afraid to physically defend. A night later, Clarke Central travels to Cedar Shoals, one of the best rivalry games in the state.

No. 18 Brunswick at Valdosta: We've said before and we'll say it again, Region 1-AAAAAA is a good one and this game proves it. Valdosta is 12-4 on the year and are tough to beat at home. That said, Brunswick has proven to shine away from the coast, going 4-1 in road games this year.
