UCF adds another local 2015 prospect
The commitment list continues to grow for Central Florida's 2015 recruiting haul as Lakewood (Fla.) forward Anthony Lawrence is the latest homegrown kid to pick the Golden Knights. The 6-foot-5 versatile junior ended his recruitment on Wednesday night.
"I think it really fits my style of play and I really want to build a relationship with coach right now," Lawrence said.
He joins Chad Brown and Alex Owens in the early commitment class of 2015. Joining those players was a major part in Lawrence's decision, he said.
"I play with Alex Owens and Chad Brown. We're really close. (Once committed to UCF) Corey Sanders should be coming still too. I really like (what we are building)," Lawrence said.
After watching Lawrence earlier in the month at the Florida Fall Festival, it was evident that the long-armed multi-positional prospect will fit in nicely along side the current commitments. Lawrence brings an intriguing set of versatile skills to the table.
"Coach (Donnie) Jones said I can play multiple positions. I can see me playing the two, three and pushing the ball up the floor off the rebound," Lawrence said.
