Sanks felt Georgia Southern was the right fit
There is a feeling a person has in their stomach that helps seal an important decision. For Jonathan Sanks that was the feeling he felt after his recruiting visit.
The Berkmar High senior visited Georgia Southern thought about it and pulled the trigger. He selected the Eagles over Radford and Southeast Missouri State.
“I thought it was the best fit,” Sanks said. “The coach who were recruiting me and the head coach played my position. That really helped me with my decision.”
Sanks was also intrigued by the players currently on the team and felt a connection with them. He is also excited about the Eagles joining a new conference next season. Georgia Southern is leaving the Southern Conference for the Sun Belt once he enrolls.
Having made the decision also helps Sanks focus on a number of things. He wants to help Berkmar make a run and win the state championship. Connect with future Eagles teammate Milton High School’s Shawn O’Connell. Along with helping Georgia Southern land another in-state prospect.
“We are trying to get (Savannah High’s) Chris Coakley,” Sanks said emphatically. “We have to get him.”
