Milton PF picks Georgia Southern
Shawn O'Connell narrowed his list to three schools: Georgia Southern, Kennesaw State and Northern Illinois. On Thursday morning, the Milton power forward went to Twitter to announce his decision.
O'Connell went through a well thought out process during his recruitment, visited all of his suitors and weighed the pros and cons against each other. Ultimately, the 6-foot-8 skilled four man decided Mark Byington's program suited him the best.
O'Connell is the second commitment to Georgia Southern in the class of 2014. He joins Devonte Boykins, a 6-foot-1 point guard from Forest City, N.C.
Such an honor to say I'll be playing for Coach Byington and continuing my career at Georgia Southern University! #HailSouthern
