Jackson picks Georgia Tech
Tadric Jackson was going to play basketball in the state of Georgia. Everyone knew that. He wasn't leaving the Peach State. But where exactly? That was the question for the Tift County shooting guard - Georgia Tech or Georgia.
On Wednesday afternoon, he sat down in front of his schoolmates and announced he was taking his game to downtown Atlanta next fall. The 6-foot-2 guard said the decision wasn't an easy one but found a comfortable fit with Georgia Tech.
"Ultimately, I get to play in the best conference in the country," Jackson said at a press conference at Tift County High School.
Jackson shined in July with the Georgia Stars and played his best basketball of the travel season in Augusta and at the Best of the South. He helped the Stars win the Elite Youth Invitational and Jackson was an all-tournament select at the BOTS. His bread and butter is his aggressive athleticism and he showed that off all July.
Jackson was the best guard in Georgia's 2014 class in July and enters the high school season on a high note.
Jackson, the soon-to-be the No. 3 overall senior in Georgia, is the first player to commit to Georgia Tech in 2014. He's the most important in-state recruit for Brian Gregory and staff since Robert Carter picked the school two years ago.
