Inside The HSA | Bama Jam Edition

We took a dive into the HSA here at Bama Jam this past weekend, and these are a few players who deserved recognition for their performances throughout the event.

Brantley Addison and Eli Hayes helped YBG finish 4-1 on the weekend, capturing a Silver Bracket Championship alongside Trace Adcock (mentioned in Top Performers). Eli Hayes is a unique backcourt player and a matchup problem. He has the size and strength of a forward but the finesse and ball skills of a guard, making him tough to handle in every game YBG plays. Brantley Addison was the perfect 4-man this weekend. He cleaned the glass, finished around the rim with nice touch, and stretched the floor by knocking down jumpers. This is an HSA team I’m excited to watch for the rest of the year.

Norcross Heat 15u – Noah Joseph & Aidan Beasley

This Norcross Heat 2029 group has a lot of young talent, but this weekend the trio of Djordje Knezevic (mentioned in Top Performers), Noah Joseph, and Aidan Beasley really stood out. Noah Joseph is a big man who will continue to be a name to know in Georgia over the next few years. He can step out and shoot, finish through contact, and has good positional size. Aidan Beasley is the ideal lead guard. He looks to get his teammates involved but can also go get a bucket whenever needed.

Shockers 17u – Jackson McCutcheon

Unsigned senior Jackson McCutcheon is a player who can make an immediate impact at the right level and in the right system. The combo guard is a sharpshooter who can score off the dribble or the catch and make plays both on and off the ball. He had multiple strong performances this weekend and picked up an offer from the University of the Cumberlands. Jackson McCutcheon should be off the board soon and will be an impact player at the next level.

Refuse 2 Lose 17u – Cash Langston

Refuse 2 Lose went 4-0 this weekend, largely due to their high-level guard play. Dalton Black (mentioned in Top Performers) was outstanding, but so was Cash LangstonCash Langston is a smooth guard who plays with pace and can really create off the dribble. He consistently got downhill, converting and-ones, and showcased a strong in-between game with floaters and mid-range shots. He’ll be a key piece for a tough R2L team this year.

Cerial Killers 16u – Brody Pryor

This Cerial Killers 16u group is one that will win a lot of games in the HSA this year, and Brody Pryor will be the engine behind much of it. Brody Pryor impacted the game in multiple ways. He shot it with range, made plays from the forward spot, and finished around the rim with touch. He’s a true stat stuffer and will be fun to watch this season.

HoopGwinnett 17u – Marciano Bruno

Marciano Bruno is a sleeper in the state of Georgia who could turn a lot of heads this spring. He consistently plays hard, crashes the glass, and stays active defensively. On top of that, he can score in bunches. Marciano Bruno was the X-factor in HoopGwinnett’s comeback win this past Saturday at Bama Jam.

Norcross Heat 16u – Gabriel Fowler

Gabriel Fowler was impressive at Bama Jam this past weekend. He’s a guard who understands the game and plays at a controlled pace. When he’s in attack mode, he’s tough to stop. He was difficult to guard one-on-one and also showed strong ability in the mid-range. This Norcross Heat group is loaded and will be exciting to watch.

Pro One Academic Select 17u – Brendon Bradford & Miles Warren

This Pro One Academic Select group will have plenty of college coaches watching them this spring and summer. They have everything a next-level program looks for, and Miles Warren and Brendon Bradford are key pieces. Miles Warren made plays all weekend at the guard spot. He’s crafty, gets downhill, can knock down threes, and reads the defense well. Brendon Bradford was active on the glass, protected the rim, and stretched the floor by shooting at a high clip, opening driving lanes for Pro One’s guards.
