HoopSeenW Spring Preview Camp Top Performers

Our second HoopSeenW camp was a success and we hope to continue to build on each one. Here are the top overall performers from the camp.

Cooper is definitely as top unsigned senior worth some college attention. At 5-foot-9, she is a versatile player on both ends. Offensively she can score inside-out and on the defensive end she can guard multiple positions. She likes to push the ball in the open court to get the offense going before the defense has a chance to get set up. Cooper did a bit of everything for her team.

Daniels brought the energy throughout the day. She made play after play on both ends and stood out with her high motor. Her activity level resulted in a ton of extra possessions for her team and both steals and deflected passes from her jumping the passing lanes. Daniels was at her best pushing the ball up the court in transition where she made multiple nice full court passes or went coast-to-coast for an easy bucket.

The freshman PG out of Fayette County High School did more than earn her own; she was one of the best players that I saw. Hope played with a lot of poise and took care of the ball despite defensive pressure. She had spurts where you could see how aggressive she can be in attacking the rim too. This kid has a lot of upside as she continues to progress as a player.

Morgan once again made our camp top performers list. What impressed me the most was the simple fact that she was there less than 24 hours after a tough loss in the Final Four. She is one of those players that loves the game and gives everything she has in each outing on the court, no matter the setting. Morgan rebounds the ball extremely well, especially considering she is only 5-foot-8. She has a stout frame that she utilizes to power through smaller guards to get to the rim.

Kennedy Snead

Snead was one of my favorite players in attendance to watch. She is like a ball of energy; she never stops bouncing around. That high motor enables her to make plays on both ends of the floor. Offensively, her first step is uber quick. She was able to blow by defenders with ease and get to the rim where she showed that she can finish at a high rate or kick it out to open shoots around the perimeter. On the defensive end, she is a ball hawk. She finds the ball so quick and applies immediate pressure.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this kid operate. It is evident that she has a lot of confidence in her game and it shines on the court. She has a quick trigger and does not hesitate to let it fly if given any type of space. Her handle is nice, especially her quick crossover that she loves to use to get defenders off balance. Once she decides she wants to get to the lane, that is exactly what she does, putting her head down and getting downhill.
