GHSA Girls Final 4 Preview 5A-4A
The #MarchtoMacon has not disappointed. The Final Four kicks off tomorrow and it has been a fun ride. There have been some upsets and surprises, but only one team will reign supreme. Let's take a look at the 5A and 4A Final Four matchups.

Forest Park vs New Manchester Saturday March 5 2pm @ Fort Valley State University
Forest Park enters this matchup after beating Loganville while New Manchester took down Hiram. Forest Park comes in as the favorite to win this game. However, New Manchester has Auburn signee, Kharyssa Richardson. At 6-foot-2, she is a double-double machine due to her ability to dominate the paint. Forest Park will rely on their length to combat Richardson's dominance in the paint. The Panthers will look to Jayda Brown and Yasmine Allen to carry the scoring load. Outside of Richardson, New Manchester will look to guards India Johnson and Kamryn Bates to make big contributions. Forest Park will definitely have the size advantage in this one; especially out on the perimeter.
Woodward Academy vs Warner Robins March 5 6pm @ Fort Valley State University
Woodward Academy defeated Maynard Jackson handily in the Elite Eight and Warner Robins took down Greenbrier. We all know what Sydney Bowles brings to the table. The Georgia signee is such a dynamic guard. She is considered as one of the top players in the state for a reason. Woodward's depth goes much further than Bowles, though. Sarah Lewis and Kennedie Mosley are also consistent producers for the War Eagles. Warner Robins is a super gritty team. They have taken pride in their physical identity. I first saw Jada Morgan at our HoopSeenW camp back in October, and man does she play with a high motor. The Demonettes have a group of players that can dominate the board and shoot it well from the outside. They will surely play with a lot of toughness and give Woodward a good game. The War eagles are looking for their second consecutive state title.

Luella vs Baldwin Friday March 4 2pm @ Fort Valley State University
Luella knocked out Carver 78-61 and Baldwin took down Northwest Whitifield 57-46 to reach the Final Four. Luella is another team that is not new to this stage. They have been a favorite all season. These two teams met in the beginning of the season where Luella pulled out a narrow victory; but these two teams are both improved and battle tested. Luella will be led by junior Ariana Dyson, Miliani Smith, and Evangelia Daylakou. Baldwin will lean on Madison Ruff's playmaking, Janaye Walker, and Tamia Smith. While Baldwin can get out and make plays in transition, Luella has the experience and pieces to win it.
Marist vs Pickens Friday March 4 6pm @ Fort Valley State University
After Marist's win over Heritage and Pickens' 1-point win over Jefferson, these two will battle it out in the Final Four. If you look at the brackets, the first thing that likely jumps out is the points scored for Marist's opponents. The only time they allowed a team to score over 20 was in the first round where North Oconee put up 28. Talk about a stifling defense. Pickens is coming off a big win where they had to overcome a double-digit deficit. The Dragons have showed a ton of fight and they will look to carry that momentum into this Final Four matchup.
