HoopSeen Atlanta Jam Top Performers from the Carolina's Part II
SUWANEE, GA - The HoopSeen Atlanta Jam was stop number three on the schedule for our team here at HoopSeen. This year's Atlanta Jam was filled with talent from Florida to Washington and from Connecticut to the Carolinas'. We take a look at some of the top performers from the Carolinas' from this past weekend.
Shane Fernald, PSB-Charlotte - Showed some solid foot-work all event. Intense player that leaves it all out on the floor. HE works hard and is able to get a lot of baskets in the paint by just working and either gets fouled or makes the basket. He averaged 6 rebounds per game for PSB-Charlotte and helped them record a 2-1 record on the weekend. The 6-foot-8, 235-pound big man is able to muscle his way to baskets in the post and doesn't get pushed around in the paint. He manages to run the floor well and can score when gets up and down the floor.
Kolbe Ashe, Atlanta All-Stars - The Hayesville (NC) native saw a lot of minutes on the floor because he doesn't make mistakes and doesn't turn the ball over. The 6-foot guard has a nice looking shot that he can consistently make from outside. Ashe is able to get the ball moving in transition and find open teammates. At Hayesville High School he is coached by Michael Cottrell, a state-championship winning coach and whose dad coached at Western Carolina University. Ashe is the next college prospect out of the tiny town in Western North Carolina. Ashe averaged 2.5 assists per game over the weekend, doing what he does best, facilitating.
Daniel Lee, TMP (Teal) - One of the most athletic players that we saw on the weekend Lee out of Fort Dorchester High School in Charleston, South Carolina had one of the biggest dunks of the weekend when he took up from inside the FT line and threw down a one-handed dunk on top of a defender. The 6-foot-3, junior guard makes some shots from the outside and can get out in transition and scores with either hand around the rim. The kids from the low-country of South Carolina are some of the most athletic you will find in the region and most all of the prospects from that area have great motors.
