Top 17U overall performers at the 2020 HoopSeen #ATLJAM, part III

The 2020 Atlanta Jam is in the books and our staff has gone through a weekend full of notes to compile our Best of series from the summer showcase. Today we take a look at the top overall performers from the event.

His shot-making and his floor general skillset shined through in the clutch for the All-Stars at the Atlanta Jam. He’s consistent and that’s a transferrable skill that should pay dividends. Bidwell does a great job of valuing the basketball and doesn’t turn it over. On a team like the All-Stars, there is a balance that needs to be maintained between the rotation of players and Bidwell showed that he can sew it all together nicely. But when the big bucket was needed, he was the man who had his number called for the shot and he delievered.

Zion Swader

Swader has been one of the top performers this season on the HoopSeen stage for this EAB group. He pumped in the points and was the steady catalyst of production for his club in a very productive and impressive weekend of work. He’s a good rebounder from the backcourt and a pesky defender. His leadership and production has been a catalyst for a strong month of work between the Atlanta Jam and the Bama Jam. Swader said he has heard from Lee university, Western Kentucky , Chattanooga, Ole Miss , UAH , and he said he has a offer from Missouri Western.

Madison Durr

Making the move over from the Atlanta Xpress to the Inspire Atlanta club, Durr added some offensive firepower to the rotation and ending up leading the entire Atlanta Jam in scoring. Durr is no stranger to this HoopSeen stage. He’s been playing on it since we launched and he’s coming full circle with his game. We saw a physical brand of basketball from the Pace Academy (GA) guard over the weekend. He bullied his way to the iron, pushing defenders out of the way with his shoulder and finished in traffic. Durr had no trouble with converting inside the paint. He’s always been a good slasher and that ability allowed him to take hold of the event and keep every scorekeeper on his games busy. Durr said he holds offers from Florida Gulf Coast, Elon, Siena, North Alabama, UAB and Richmond. He’s also done a Zoom visit with FGCU and that Tulsa is in the mix.
