.@TNPrepHoops breaks down some of the standouts from Tennessee from the #ALTJAM, Part II

Hoop Seen Atlanta Jam took on a Tennessee flavor as teams from all over the Volunteer state made statements all over the Suwanee Sports Academy this past weekend. Here are some of my top players, listed alphabetically, who shined bright and continued to make their presence felt during this unorthodox summer/fall basketball campaign.

Smooth operator burst onto the scene and turned some heads with his scoring ability and youthful skill. Excellent size for a guard, he shoots with high confidence and has the ability to get scoring chances off the short dribble. Physically he tends to shy from contact and once he gets into a weight room most of that will change quickly. Only a rising sophomore, his basketball IQ is still in the learning stage, he needs to make better decisions with the ball, shot selection and when and where to get everyone involved. Those skills will come.

Active guard showed some promise off the dribble with quick moves and decisive finishes at the rim. Effort has never been an issue as he plays hard and defends the ball very well. He is a good athlete with some size who if he improves his outside shooting touch will be a candidate for next level status. He is competitive and fits into a system very well.

He has all the tools that coaches salivate over. He can run the floor, he can handle, he can shoot and when motivated he can take over a game on both ends of the floor. He has high major length and shows flashes of next level ability with his skill set. Consistency and effort are areas where Jones can make his biggest strides, you cant teach his God given abilities and once it all comes into focus for him...look out world.

Aggressive lead guard plays in constant motion and is always around the ball. He has an outstanding pull-up jumper and a nice burst to the rim for buckets. His outside is adequate but he needs to quicken his release. His biggest area for improvement is thinking the game, make better basketball decisions, your the lead guard it falls on you. Shot selection and game situations are crucial as the evaluations become more intense.

The object of the game is to put the ball in the basket and this young man does this as well as anyone. He is sneaky athletic and will rise up on you in a heartbeat. He is at his best with the short pull-up jumper and the finish at the rim. He runs the floor and makes good basketball decisions with the rock. He could be a scoring machine at the right level with his knack for putting the ball in the hole.
