Bre Singleton's Three Things from Opening Night at the #ATLJAM
SUWANEE, GA - The opening night of the 2020 Atlanta Jam is in the books as we had a busy slate of action from Suwanee Sports Academy. Let’s take a look at the notes from Bre Singleton’s notepad from high above the action.
SYNGERGY FROM THREE
In the best matchup I saw on Friday night, Team Synergy showed that they’ve got several players that can score the basketball. The team hit a total of 10 threes on their way to the a one-point win over TNBA South. Brock Rose led Synergy with a tough 14 points, dumping in a layup for the and-one just before fouling out. Delani Hammonds has a solid game from the PG position with 12 points of his own while Evan Morton helped out with 11 points. Team Synergy has their work cut out for them though as Jalon Cole came ready to play, putting up 20 points in the loss, leading all scorers.

GEORGIA BISONS SLEEPER
The Georgia Bisons have a gem on their hands in Rhian McCoy who led them to a win over a solid Game Elite Blue squad with 20 points. McCoy got it done from just about everywhere on Friday evening, knocking down 3 threes in the victory. The 6’1 PG gave Game Elite Blue’s guards a tough time with his quick first step and ability to finish at the rim. McCoy is definitely a player I’ll keep my eyes on for the rest of the weekend.
BACKCOURT BATTLES
I saw quite a few teams lean on their backcourt play Friday night. Fill The Lane’s duo of Rholijah Hardy and Tyler Wilten combined for 26 points in their win over Game Elite. Also, Jasai Miles and Marc Wendrow put in work for SOH Elite in their win over NME, scoring twelve and ten points respectively. It was fun to watch the backcourts control the games and keep the pace while leading their teams to victories. It’ll be interesting to see if guards continue to run the show this weekend or if the bigs command the game.
