ATL Gamechangers beat Flame 2024 48-34 to win the 14 and under division of the 2020 Georgia Cup Summer League on Sunday at Suwanee Sports Academy. 

ATL Gamechangers were led by Xavier Daisy who scored 14 points. 

This game started slow but quickly picked up heading into half time. Both teams were getting up and down making it a true back and forth battle. The guard play was great. I had a lot of fun watching the match up of Devonte Newell of the Flame and Joseph Sonson of the Gamechangers. Both guards have very similar qualities. They are both super quick and athletic, can get to the basket at will, and defend. I enjoyed watching them go at each other. 

Sonson was very effective in transition which helped expand the lead in the second half. He set up his teammates and finished at the rim. The star of the game was Xavier Daisy. I watched him play yesterday and his game continues to impress me. Daisy is long and very lanky. He uses his length to attack the boards and be a nuisance on defense. He is also one of the most active players I have seen this weekend. This kid literally does not stop moving. His soft touch around the basket is what most impressed me. He finished multiple baby hooks in the lane this morning.

Roy McDaniel was another huge piece for the Gamechangers in the win. He added 13 points including three 3-pointers. He has active hands on defense and made great decisions in transition. He displayed a pretty shot with a quick release from three. He also made multiple passes setting his teammates up for easy buckets.
