Fall Preview II camp team 3 evaluations

Our second fall preview camp is in the books as both players from Georgia and around the southeast met us at Suwannee Sports Academy. As the players competed and showcased their skills, our staff branched out to tell their stories. Here are our evaluations for team 3.

Lionel Harris, 2020 G, Milton: Bigs and wings benefitted when Harris had the ball as he played with a far greater purpose than himself. After getting past the first line of defense he would play with his head up and make the right play. Good feet and lateral quickness made him a stout defender that didn't back down. Harris didn't take very many shots but the ones he took were right on point. Defensively his timing in the passing lanes helped him pick off passes and turn defense into offense.

Lamar Clemmons-Wade, 2020 G, New Manchester: This tough and sturdy guard did a good job of playing smart within the confines of team offense. His matchups were in tough situations when he got downhill because he understands how to make great use of his body. The senior guard has great body control and enough creativity to keep defenders off-balance. Without falling in love with over dribbling the basketball, Wade made use of smart and efficient moves that got him to his spots.

Tyreek Singleton, 2021 G, Alcovy: If there's one thing Singleton does well it's squeezing the juice out of high ball screen situations. When at the rim he finished well, and should only improve during his junior season. His shiftiness was a lot to handle when guards weren't ready to move his feet. Lazy defenders would often suffer as Singletons break neck pace left little time to catch your breath. When the junior guard was off the ball, Singleton would stay shot ready and ultimately cash in from deep.

Jai Jordan, 2020 Lakeway Christian Academy: A productive offensive showing from Jai Jordan was enough to catch the eye of our staff throughout. As one of the better playmakers on his unit, Jordan's ability to both create for others and stretch the court gave him tons of value. The big guard with great hands and feet showed us his ability to both post up and play on the wing. Given his great size and physicality, Jordan delivered as a rebounder on both ends.

Alahn Sumler, 2022 G, Buford: Sumler's pace was unmatched as he took full court pressure on in stride. Sumler would purposefully slow the game down when he felt his team's pace get out of control. For such a young prospect he had a great grasp for what a productive offense should look and feel like. His shot mechanics are fluid to the point of showing his time well spent in the gym. Sumler could be a budding young prospect to watch coming through the Buford pipeline.

Angelo Hoy, 2023 G, Lovejoy: Set the pace early on as he came off the bench hunting for a basket. The 5'8 freshman cashed in early with a nice attempt of the bounce, making defenders pay for not playing him straight up. This nice lefty shooter had a tendency to show off his long ball to defenders that went under and ball screen actions. Hoy has a nice pull-up jumper from three that he can build upon going forward.

Jaheim Crayton, 2023 G, Lanier: Every time I looked up it was the freshman of the group involved the action. Fall from being afraid of the moment, Jahiem Crayton would contribute for his team on both sides of the ball. His ability to put pressure on the rim offensively was impressive despite often being the smallest player on the floor. As his team picked up full his athleticism and activity would shine through as he put his hands on enough balls to turn defense into offense. As his comfort increased offensively, Crayton would churn out a few high-level assists.

Dylan Domer, 2020 G, Harrison: Pulling off some crafty finishes was no problem as #81 took on all rim challengers. His finishing below the rim was impressive as floaters, runners, and off-hand layups were all at his disposal. His role as a glue guy was needed as he became a ball mover when his team's offense bogged down. His athleticism was surprising to some and along with his instincts it made for some intriguing possessions. Some timely deflections and assists put his team in winning situations.

Jimaal Crump, 2020 F, South Gwinnett: Crump was fully locked in on his post matchup as he would challenge for position from block to block. His effort from end to end was contagious, leaving little in the tank as he sprinted hard from end to end. Some nice passing out of the high post and interior rebounding would serve useful as his team's only true post presence. One of the best motors in the gym played like he had no tomorrow.
