2019 North Carolina HoopSeen Fall Preview: Team 2

Our North Carolina Fall Preview camp is in the books and our staff of evaluators and coaches have gone through their notes of every player in the camp. Every. Single. One. Today we look closer at Team 2 from camp.

Logan Blair, Harding University, 6-2, SG, 2022: Strong upper-bodied guard that defends. He has powerful explosion off the bounce and gets to the rim with ease. Always in attack mode and wants to defend the oppositions best player. On a few instances, Blair showed off a couple of nice spin moves getting into the lane.

Graham Calton, Charlotte Latin, 6-5, SF, 2021: The 6-foot-5 small forward had a couple of really nice takes to the basket. He used really strong body control to make the finish and showed the ability to step out on the perimeter, knocking down a few shots from beyond the three-point line when he caught the ball and set his feet.

Kobe Funderburg, Harding University, 6-2, SG, 2020: A willing defender, Funderburg locked down on the opposition throughout the day. He showed he can be a solid passer in the half-court. The Charlotte native knocked down a few corner threes and shot the ball consistently all day. He impressed our staff with his ability to run a team and be vocal out on the floor.

Elijah Green, Carmel Christian, 5-8, PG, 2023: Another Team Charlotte guard, Green is a little under-sized but makes up for it with his motor and toughness. The class of 2023 guard was steady with the ball in his hands and didn’t make many turnovers. Green showed that he can shoot it consistently from beyond the three-point line.

Wesley Johnson, Leesville Road, 6-11, C, 2022-The Raleigh, North Carolina big man is a nice over the shoulder scorer showing a soft touch around the rim. He is still raw on a skill level and is figuring it all out. Spends a lot of his time playing above the rim. Scored on a lot of easy putbacks. I like the upside with this one.

Corey Jones, North Raleigh Christian, 6-0, PG, 2020: The 6-foot lead guard impressed our staff with his ability to distribute the ball to his teammates. Jones knocked down some perimeter shots off the bounce and coming off of screens.  He showed composure coming up with a couple of steals after an errant pass.

Avion Pinner, Riverside (Williamston), 6-7, SF, 2022-The first thing that jumps out about the Garner Road Basketball Club product is his great looking basketball frame. He has raw skills but is really undervalued as a strong interior passer. Pinner spends a lot of time above the rim.

Jamih Springer, East Mecklenburg, 6-8, F, 2022: The younger brother of national top-20 recruit Jaden Springer, Jamih is a bigger-bodied forward. He showed signs of potential on a few rebounds and scores near the basket. He needs to work on his conditioning, but all of the tools are there.

LT Thomas, Kings Mountain, 6-4, SG, 2021: Loves to get to the rim and attack. At his best when getting by a defender and sees some room to explode towards the basket. The southpaw shot the ball at a decent rate for the day and knocked down some mid-range jumpers.

Sam Walters, Myers Park, 6-2, SG, 2023: One of the best shooting strokes we saw at the event. Walters was vocal and showed that he can defend multiple positions, he was able to get into the lane off the dribble and score or make the right pass.
