Tri-City Elite wins a hard-fought game for the 12U National Championship

6th Grade Championship Story:

12 AND UNDER: Tri-City Elite 54, Zabian Dowdell Select 50

Tri-City Elite represented for Georgia and closed out the US Amateur Nationals with a championship trophy.

The hometown squad battled with Zabaian Dowdell Select all game long, but eventually held on to a tight lead to give them the 54-50 victory.

Zayden Solomon was a one man wrecking crew. The “big-guard” got a bucket whenever he wanted. He pumped in a monster 30-point scoring performance.  Jordan Hudson was also notable in the win. The 6-foot-3 forward totaled 11 points along with a strong collection of rebounds.

Zabian Dowdell Select was led by the backcourt duo of twins Christian and Christopher Maxon. Christian carried the scoring load with 26 points. His brother Christopher added 13 points. The Maxon brothers from Florida were two of the more exciting guards to watch in the sixth grade division.  - Austin Smith
