Hoop Phi wins it all in the 15 and under division for the National Championship

15 AND UNDER: Hoop PHI 70, Iron City Huskies 46.

Hoop PHI lost one game this week by two points. After that you could tell they were determined to not lose close the rest of the tournament like that again. That determination payed off as they dominated the 15U championship game.

Hoop PHI is an absolute exciting team to watch. From their parents in the bleachers who are loud and energetic from start to end all the way to their players that play their heart outs every single possession. And to no surprise this was the case in the championship game.

Hoop PHI isn’t just a one man show. Four players finished with double digits in this fast paced championship game. Alricko Trimble finished with 20 points and hit four threes. Latavious Conyers poured in 18 points. Jaylein Sexton contributed with 12 points, and Kelian Holloway finished with 10 points for Hoop PHI. With four players pouring in double digits Hoop PHI was almost unstoppable.

The Iron City Huskies just couldn’t find a grove this game against Hoop PHI. Demarcus Lacey had 16 points for the Huskies as he was the leading scorer. Lacey was one of the better 15U guards all week at the US Amateur Nationals. - Andrew Stimpson
