Three best players we saw from Tennessee at the HoopSeen #ATLJAM
The state of Tennessee was well-represented at the HoopSeen Atlanta Jam. We asked our state expert Andre Whitehead to roll out his top three performers from Tennessee. Meet his picks.
If you're a traditionalist like me then pure point guard play makes you smile from ear to ear. Tempo and control is his mantra. He never gets out of control, he handles the oncoming onslaught with poise and seemingly always make the correct decision with the ball. He sees the floor and always plays with his head up. He defends, as was evident with over 10 charges taken at the Atlanta Jam. He has above average leadership skills and as his offensive game improves his value only increases.
Lefty had a big weekend helping lead his squad to a solid finish at the Jam. His game is expanding as was apparent with several tough finishes at the rim. He is creative in the paint and despite not getting a great deal of height on his jump shot his form is true and the result is…..buckets. He must add some strength and become a better on ball defender. He is excellent on the help side and plays the passing lanes very well, he made several steals and converted them for buckets ort exciting assists to fortunate teammates.
Unorthodox lefty had himself another big Jam weekend helping lead his Tigers to their second straight unblemished event. Unlimited range, as he is unafraid to pull from well behind the deep line. He is excellent with the ability to finish creatively at the rim. He knows how to change speeds and despite not having a big athletic burst he uses his rocker gait and lefty twitch to get by folks and finish or cleverly dish to a happy fellow Tiger.
