Senior Showcase Superlatives: Three best shooters
As we look back at our HoopSeen Senior Showcase, our staff wanted to roll out three superlatives a day. In this first edition of the notes, we focus on the three best shooters from the camp.
1. Justin Day, Sprayberry (pictured): The 6-foot guard was the best shooter in the camp and he made sure the separation from the rest of the pack was quite big. Day was automatic from three in the camp and certainly opened some eyes with his sniper ability. A good student, Day already had good options (Oglethrope and Quincy IL offers) coming into the camp. His play certainly should offer up some more opportunities, too.
2. DJ Patrick, Sprayberry: Like his high school teammate Day, Patrick was throwing flames from the three-point stripe at our Senior Showcase. The big wing forward was drilling triples as he came off the curl and knocking down shots off the catch. His perimeter abilities helped push him into the overall top performer category at the camp. His recruitment certainly took a spike up after his showing.
3. Miles Wallace, Holy Spirit Prep: The 5-foot-11 point guard made our staff take notice with his three-point ability. Wallace was quick to pull-up behind the arc and drilled several nice-looking triples. He wasn’t shy to look for a shot and knock it down. Our staff thought he was one of the three best in the camp.
