#ATLJAM Day 1: Takeaways from Duluth HS

2019 Rebels Play HARD

The 2019 Rebels have consistently played with a chip on their shoulder all travel season long. Their squad is composed of guards and smaller forwards who battle on each possession. Today they earned a nice victory over a much bigger Florida Sons Select team. 6-4 PG Isaiah Scott led the way with 14 points showcasing his athleticism and play above the rim. Scott’s receiving frequent interest from Georgia Southern, Campbell, Navy, and Citadel.

Tremere Brown is an Attention-Getter

Tremere Brown is a 2019 forward from Alabama who decided to run with the Georgia Kings this weekend. He stands right at 6-6 with a noticeably athletic frame. Although the Kings lost in their matchup against the Delray Blazers tonight, Brown made sure his presence was felt. He finished with 18 points and his scoring versatility was on full display. Brown revealed his ability to utilize effective moves in the low-post, knock down the 15-foot jumper, and terrorize the rim with dunks in transition. He’s not afraid to play in the paint, but he also excels by running the open lanes in fast-break opportunities.

2021 Southside Duo to keep your eyes on

15U Georgia Achievers guard Jalen Myers and forward Bryson Thomas proved to be a dominant inside-outside duo in their win over Team Northside. Myers stands at 6-1, and attacked the basket without the slightest sign of fear or hesitation. He absorbed the contact and still converted layup attempts against opposing defenders. Bryson Thomas stands at 6-4, and he has a pretty impressive wingspan for a freshman. He finished with 12 points. However, Thomas’s more impressive aspects of his game were his ability to consistently block shots, and his rebounding ability. He’s is a forward who isn’t afraid to be “Mr.Hustle.” He competes on both ends of the floor.
