Taking a peek at the 5A Elite 8 in Georgia
The action tips off on Wednesday night in Georgia for the AAAAA Elite Eight. We take a peek into the four games.
Starr's Mill (23-7) at Hiram (22-9): The size of Starr’s Mill (Drew Hudson and Nate Allison) against Hiram’s go-to guy Nathan Presnell will be fun to watch play out. There aren’t many post match-ups better than this one.

Miller Grove (21-7) at Dutchtown (16-14): Both teams are riding a high, and rightfully so. The Grove won at Buford, dethroning the defending state champs. Dutchtown has been a magical postseason run. This is the best “ignore the records” kind of game in the state today.

Warner Robins (25-3) at Lithonia (23-6): What a game this will be. Both teams are not afraid to play hard, play physical, play fast and play defense. Both teams shine in competition. Warner Robins has as good of a 1-2 punch in the state with Nelson Phillips and Jacolbey Owens. Lithonia, on the other hand, is senior balanced.

Stockbridge (24-6) at Clarke Central (24-6): The best game on the 5A slate, you won’t find a better game than this one. Stockbridge has some horses that can score, led by Georgia State bound Kavonte Ivery while Clarke Central has Tae Monfort, who is one of the most underappreciated seniors in Georgia.
