2017 Georgia Fall Preview: Team 7 Evals
The 2017 Georgia Fall Preview is in the books and we begin our team-by-team evaluations from our loaded Saturday at Suwanee Sports Academy.
TJ Bickerstaff, Sandy Creek, 2019: The 6-foot-8 forward can score at all three levels and showed off good ball-handling for his size. Put that all together and you have a player that can play multiple positions on the court and proved to be a difficult match-up. He’s at his best the closer he is to the basket. Bickerstaff is a good passer, too.
Devon Brewton, Claxton, 2018: The 5-foot-10 guard has a good motor and he hit the 15 footer with little trouble. A score first guard, Brewton did a nice job of picking his spots to shine.
Winston Davis, Tallulah Falls, 2020: A crafty ball-handler with good pace, Davis did a nice job of hitting the open shots he had.
Rudy Fitzgibbons, Riverwood, 2018: One of the nice revelations of the day, Fitzgibbons was quick to the basket and shined as a good on the ball defender. He can hit the open three and piloted his way around the defense with confidence. The 5-foot-11 guard has been taught the game well and should be the go-to guy for the Atlanta school this season.
Dale Green, Englewood (FL), 2019: A good ball-handler with nice court vision, the Floridian played great in speed. The 5-foot-10 guard is a jet with the ball and spread the offense around his perimeter options. We liked his feel for the game.
Jalen Mason, Woodland, 2019: The 6-foot-3 guard is a tough defender that relished in his role as a floor general. There is a valuable maturity to his game. Mason shot the ball very well and didn’t force the issue. Now in Henry County, he should be in position to be one of the top players in the south suburbs this season.
Willam Richter, Johnson, 2018: The 6-foot-3 guard has a good touch from the three-point line and was a consistent threat from the perimeter. He should be the leading scorer at the Gainesville school this season. He played at a nice pace at the camp and set the tone for what kind of year he’s in store for.
AJ Williams, Southeast Bulloch, 2021: The 5-foot-7 guard is quick and a good ball-handler. He did a nice job of playing low to the ground and made it difficult for defenders to knock him off of his game.
Byron Wilson, II, Dacula, 2018: Mr. Everything, says his camp coach. He plays hard, defends, rebounds and shined as a dirty work guy. Wilson, a 6-foot-2 guard, scored well in the camp setting and shot well. Dacula has traditionally produced quality Division II level players and Wilson could play his way into such a situation this season at the Gwinnett County school.
